Behind Secret Swinger Lust - Why We Personally Visit Swinger Clubs Before We Recommend Them

For more than eight years, SecretSwingerLust has travelled anonymously through the international swinger scene, visiting swinger clubs, lifestyle clubs, private parties, and resorts across Europe, the United States, and Mexico.

For more than eight years, SecretSwingerLust has travelled anonymously through the international swinger scene, visiting swinger clubs, lifestyle clubs, private parties, and resorts across Europe, the United States, and Mexico.

We have personally visited more than 250 clubs and resorts in over 20 countries.

But fewer than 30 have been selected for SecretSwingerLust.

That number surprises many people. But for us, it has always been the foundation of everything we do.

SecretSwingerLust was never created to list every swinger club in the world. It was created to help open-minded couples, singles, and lifestyle travellers find places that are truly worth visiting.

Because if you find a club, resort, or lifestyle destination on SecretSwingerLust, we want you to feel confident that someone from our team has actually been there — and that we believe the experience is worth your time.

It started with a bad experience

The idea behind SecretSwingerLust did not begin as a business plan.

It began with a bad experience abroad.

Many years ago, we visited a swinger club outside our home country that looked promising online. The website looked good. The photos seemed exciting. The description created expectations of a sensual, safe, and well-managed lifestyle experience.

But the reality was very different.

The experience was so disappointing that it almost scared us away from the international swinger scene completely.

And that was the moment we realized something important:

Someone had to start reviewing swinger clubs honestly — without clubs being able to pay for a good review.

Not to shame clubs. Not to damage businesses. But to help people avoid travelling far, spending money, getting dressed up, and walking into something completely different from what they expected.

That was the beginning of SecretSwingerLust.

For the first eight years, SecretSwingerLust was essentially a swinger blog. It was built around one mission: visiting clubs, understanding the lifestyle scene, and helping people find better experiences.

Later, when we also began to feel that many existing swinger platforms did not offer the quality, trust, and real travel experience we were looking for ourselves, we decided to take the next step.

If someone had to build something better, we decided it had to be us.

Why we visit swinger clubs anonymously

One of the most important parts of our review process is anonymity.

When we visit a swinger club, we do not arrive as reviewers asking for special treatment. We do not want the club to prepare a perfect evening just for us. We want to experience the club the same way our users would.

We want to know what happens when real guests arrive.

How does the staff welcome people?
Is the atmosphere natural?
Are the facilities clean?
Do guests feel safe?
Is the club well managed?
Does the experience match what the club promises online?

That is why anonymity matters.

A review only has real value if the experience is real.

When we leave a club, we carry two types of cards.

One card tells the club that we have selected them and that they will be reviewed on SecretSwingerLust.

The other card simply says thank you for the evening — but that we will not be writing about the club.

That does not mean we think the club is bad forever. A club can improve. A club can change ownership. A club can grow into something better. And sometimes we return after a few years if we believe the club may have developed.

But at the moment we visit, the club has to meet our standards.

More than 250 visits — fewer than 30 selected

Over the years, we have visited more than 250 swinger clubs, lifestyle clubs, and resorts.

We have travelled across Europe, the United States, and Mexico, and we are planning future visits in Asia and South America.

So far, we have visited clubs in more than 20 countries, but only selected clubs from 12 countries for SecretSwingerLust.

That difference is intentional.

We are not trying to create the biggest list.

We are trying to create a trusted list.

In the swinger lifestyle, trust matters more than quantity. A beautiful website, professional photos, and exciting promises are not enough. A club must deliver in reality.

And one of the biggest lessons we have learned is that some of the best swinger clubs are not always in the biggest cities.

High rent, busy locations, and polished branding do not automatically create a great swinger club. Some of the most exciting, well-managed, and authentic clubs we have found are located outside major city centres — sometimes in smaller towns, discreet countryside areas, or unexpected places we would never have discovered without tips from the lifestyle community.

That is one of the reasons SecretSwingerLust exists.

To find the places that are not always obvious.

Why we do not publish negative club reviews

People sometimes ask if they can find the clubs we did not select.

The answer is no.

And there is a reason for that.

We do not believe in publicly shaming swinger clubs just because we did not personally feel they were right for SecretSwingerLust.

A club can have a bad evening. Maybe there were not enough guests. Maybe the atmosphere was off. Maybe the team did not have time to prepare everything properly that night. Maybe another evening would have been completely different.

We understand that.

But we also believe that a truly great club must be able to deliver a good experience consistently.

For us, that is part of the standard.

If we cannot confidently recommend a club to our users, we simply choose not to list it.

We do not want to destroy businesses. We want to honour the clubs that truly deserve attention.

That is a very important difference.

SecretSwingerLust is not built around negative reviews. It is built around selection.

What we look for in a swinger club

Our reviews are based on several visible categories, including atmosphere, guests, facilities, service, bar, wellness, dance floor, dress code, and overall experience.

But some criteria matter more than others.

For us, hygiene and safety are non-negotiable.

If a club does not feel clean, we leave.
If a club does not feel safe, we leave.

No design, music, guest list, or luxury concept can compensate for poor hygiene or lack of safety.

A swinger club is an intimate environment. People need to feel comfortable, respected, and protected. Without that foundation, nothing else matters.

After that, we look at the full experience.

Does the club have a natural atmosphere?
 Are the guests respectful?
Does the staff understand the lifestyle?
 Are boundaries respected?
Are the facilities practical and well maintained?
Does the club feel authentic, or does it only look good online?

And then there is the X-factor.

The X-factor we never fully reveal

In our reviews, you will often see a category called X-Factor.

That category is important.

It covers the things that cannot always be measured in a checklist.

It may be a unique theme. A special atmosphere. A surprising detail. A feeling of luxury. A level of sensuality. A layout that creates connection. A concept that makes the evening feel different from every other club.

Some of our criteria are public.

Others remain internal.

Not because we want to be mysterious, but because we believe clubs should be experienced naturally. If every detail of our evaluation was public, some clubs might prepare only for the checklist instead of focusing on the real guest experience.

The X-factor is often what separates a good club from a truly unforgettable one.

It is also where a club can move from Silver to Gold.

Why hotels appear on our map

Sometimes people ask why hotels appear on SecretSwingerLust.

The answer is simple:

We do not review hotels in the same way we review swinger clubs.

But when we have personally had a good hotel experience near a club, we believe it can be useful for our users.

For lifestyle travellers, the hotel can be an important part of the trip.

Is it close to the club?
Is it comfortable?
Does it feel safe?
Is it suitable for couples or singles travelling for a lifestyle weekend?
Could it become a natural place for guests to meet before or after a club visit?

If many SecretSwingerLust users stay at the same hotel during an event weekend, it may even create opportunities for pre-party drinks, after-parties, or simply a more social travel experience.

That is why we sometimes include hotels on the map.

Not as hotel critics, but as lifestyle travellers sharing places where we had a good experience ourselves.

On our club reviews, we often show the hotel we personally used during the visit when we had a good experience there. However, it is important to understand that we are not officially reviewing the hotel. We are simply sharing where we stayed, and where we personally had a positive experience.

Our advice is always to read recent guest reviews before booking any hotel. We especially recommend checking real guest ratings, because previous guests are often the best source for understanding whether a hotel actually lives up to its own description.

We often use Booking.com ourselves because we normally find strong availability and competitive prices there:

Our community helps us find hidden gems

Some of the best clubs we have ever visited were not found through Google.

They were recommended by our readers.

Our community plays a huge role in helping us discover new swinger clubs, lifestyle venues, and hidden gems around the world.

Many of these places are not in obvious tourist destinations. Some are in smaller towns. Some are in discreet areas outside the city. Some do not have the best marketing, but deliver an incredible experience once you walk through the door.

That is why tips from real people matter so much.

The lifestyle community often knows what search engines do not.

And when several trusted readers mention the same club, we listen.

That does not mean a club is automatically selected. We still visit personally. We still evaluate the experience ourselves. But our community often helps us decide where to look next.

Some of the clubs and resorts we believe are especially worth knowing include:

Who SecretSwingerLust is built for

SecretSwingerLust is created for open-minded couples, singles, and lifestyle travellers who care about quality, safety, respect, and real experiences.

We are often asked whether singles can truly be part of the swinger lifestyle.

For us, the answer is yes.

Swinging is not defined only by relationship status. It is defined by mindset: respect, consent, curiosity, communication, and the ability to understand boundaries.

A single person with the right lifestyle mentality can be just as welcome in the swinger scene as a couple. In fact, many couples actively enjoy meeting singles in the right setting.

That is why SecretSwingerLust is built for both couples and singles — not because everyone is the same, but because the lifestyle is ultimately about behaviour, respect, and chemistry.

Why SecretSwingerLust became more than a blog

For many years, we were focused almost entirely on reviewing clubs.

That was enough.

But over time, we began to see another problem.

Many swinger platforms did not feel like what we were looking for ourselves. They lacked quality, trust, real travel experience, or a clear understanding of what modern lifestyle users actually need.

So we decided to build something more complete.

A place where open-minded people could discover trusted clubs, read real reviews, explore destinations, find lifestyle-friendly places, and connect with others who share the same mindset.

But the foundation has never changed.

We still believe in personal experience.

We still believe in visiting clubs ourselves.

We still believe clubs should not be able to buy a good review.

And we still believe that trust is more important than size.

It means we experienced the club as real guests.

It means the club met our standards.

And it means we believe it is worth your time.

That is our promise.

Not every club will be selected.

But the ones that are selected have earned their place.
